The empty hour

How to Handle Consulting Call No-Shows

·

You held the hour. The guest did not show. A calendar confirmation is not payment, so there is nothing to bill and the time is gone. Put a card on file before the call. Charge only if they show.

A calendar hold is free to skip

The guest can miss the call without paying. You cannot recover the hour. Reminders help a guest who meant to join. They do not stop a no-show who never had money on the line. Book the time however you already do; the link is not a scheduler.

Card on file is not a no-show fee

GoCall does not charge a no-show fee. A saved card is a commitment to pay if the call happens, not a penalty for a missed slot. The guest sees the rate or price before saving the card.

You start the charge if they show

Saving the card does not charge it. Money moves when you tap Start, and only once the guest is in the room. If they never join, you never start, and they are not charged.

Hourly bills the minutes after Start; fixed-price captures the agreed amount at Start. Hourly vs fixed-price is the choice of link type.
